THOSE CONCERT GOERS
Thursday 24th June 2004

A
dream came true for every Kpop fan and utterly meaningless crap to everyone
else, Monday was the night when Sydney fans of Korean music rejoiced. With
alot of household names such as Boa, Hyolee
and Shinhwa, the night according to everyone who went (I
didn't go obviously lol) was bloody unreal and received the rating of the
"best concert ever". bloody hell, a concert with just hyolee would
already guarantee this.
Sad people like me have been scavanging the net for photos of the night as well as reading people's accounts. yes, what a sad life i live. Some people even woke up at 5am to catch the train to the airport to hunt and stalk their favourite kpopstars. According to many shots Hyolee and Boa look as beautiful as ever, with Boa's new hairdo scoring a high 5 for me. By golly, those dudes at Sir3n are even posting up pics of just Hyolee and Boa soon!
note: sorry for the abundance of Asian related stuff this month. it just happened. most be Asia month or something.
GIMME
A JIN
Monday 21st June 2004
Recognise this kid? Look closer. Closer. CLOSER!!. He’s the Asian kid from 2Fast2Furious who’s the first Asian Rapper to be signed to a record company. I used to think he was just another Asian kid playing it hard in the rap scene until of course I saw him rap battle on cable channel BET where he won 7 battles straight one after another, blasting the real “rappers” away with his nasty rhymes and lyrics. He’s got a semi-eminem-like voice and is currently signed to Ruff Ryders.
Wanna see what he’s all about? Here’s your chance as he’s busting out his rhymes live on stage at Fox Studios backed up by rocking Djs Moto, Stanley, Ecko and Tee. So stuff your gf’s and bf’s and rock the house on the July 9th at Fox as this will be a sellout performance.
Follow-up news: damn those people who went to the Korean Concert tonight. If you have pics from the event. Please email them to me hgtown@hotmail.com. ;)

image: those boys
at fluidx are baffoons.
To think they would have had enough of holding events, word has it that those boys at Fluidx are again having another. This time in collaboration with Madamevents. The occasion? Well it's their first anniversary of course! What's the event going to be called? i have no idea. How much will it cost? i also have no idea. The only thing i know for sure is that its going to be held around August and we should expect 18 spectacular DJ's jamming the night away on 3 massive levels across Gas and Bohem.
Rock on.
THE
NEW GAMEBOY
Saturday 5th June 2004

image: damn thats
ugly
Don't be fooled by the 1980s styled device, as it is the latest Gameboy out of Nintendo. currently titled Gameboy DS (that's DS for Dual Screen) its their answer to Sony's Playstation portable (which is rumoured to be near the power of the PS2 but in micro-scale). not excited yet? the DS has dual screens, where one can be used as a touch screen with a stylus, wifi connections for wireless gaming, voice recognition, the power to churn out 3D, as well as backwards compatability to play old gameboy games.
It will be very interesting to see the new battle between the portable gaming devices from Sony and Nintendo. Nintendo has been in the portable gaming business for over 15 yrs, while Sony has a hand on every electronic device on the face of the earth. While Sony hopes to create the next mega-walkman of the new century, Nintendo has always stayed true to its gaming roots by hoping to deliver a new and unique way to play games. Big ups to Nintendo for originality.
What about the Ngage? Stuff that! it was already dead on the drawing boards.
